Preferences for days will be taken into consideration when taking details but a place is not guaranteed. DEFERRED 4 YEAR OLD GROUPS Suitable for children turning 4 between January - April 2012. These groups are specifically tailored for children who could attend 4 year old kinder but are not quite ready to do so! The Berwick Neighbourhood Centre runs and supports many playgroups at two venues. All our playgroups are run by the parents attending them, with the BNC providing the venues, equipment and support. See below for booking details or call: (03) 9796 1970 OUR DEFINITION OF AN EFFECTIVE PLAYGROUP IS ONE WHERE: All families feel welcome and accepted. Friendship and support are encouraged. Adults provide a positive role model for the children through respectful behaviour towards each other. The children have fun and are able to develop their potential, through play and socialisation, in a safe and caring environment.
JUMPING JOEY'S PLAYGROUP A supported, faciliated playgroup for children with additional needs or in the process of waiting for a diagnosis. Occupational Therapy for Kids. Occupational therapists work with children to assist them to reach their full potential through the use of play and every day activities. O.T's can asist children with issues like Aspergers syndrome, ADHD, developmental delay, Autism, gross motor and fine motor skills deficits and Sensory Integration problems.
